For part of his AW94 collection, titled “Marionette”, Yohji created a series of thick wool knit sweaters depicting a recurring motif of skulls and skeletons. Inspired by the hanging and limp nature of the dolls after which the collection was named, these pieces were meant to drape in exaggerating lengths. This particular garment is iconic in the collection, consisting of a thick comfortable wool and graphic consisting of yarn.
